The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort has officially marked a major milestone, holding a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of its highly anticipated expansion.
A $275 Million Transformation
Back in October 2024, the resort announced a $275 million update to its meeting spaces and guest rooms. The expansion brought some impressive additions to the property, including:
- 120,000 square feet of added meeting and convention space
- A new two-story annex at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel
- State-of-the-art event technology
- A full modernization of the hotel's existing 333,000 square feet of meeting space

A Historic Leap Forward
To put the scale of this project in perspective, the last major expansion to the hotel's meeting spaces took place all the way back in 2003. Now, with the expansion complete, the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin holds the distinction of being the largest convention hotel on the U.S. Eastern Seaboard, offering a remarkable 600,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space.
