Walt Disney World guests may be in for a surprise the next time they sit down for a meal. Disney has rolled out a sweeping series of menu changes across the resort, with more than 50 new food and drink items appearing at restaurants, lounges, food courts, and quick-service locations. At the same time, plenty of familiar choices have been removed.
The changes reach well beyond the theme parks. While Magic Kingdom received several notable additions, some of the biggest menu overhauls happened at Disney World Resort hotels.
From new breakfasts and entrées to desserts, sandwiches, cocktails, and allergy-friendly options, there is a lot for guests to sort through.
Magic Kingdom Gets Several Menu Changes
Magic Kingdom is among the locations affected, and Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe received one of the more noticeable updates. Disney removed the Double Barbecue Bacon Cheeseburger, Coca-Cola Cherry-braised Pork Sandwich, Sweet Corn Mousse, and Mini Churros. Replacing those options are a Barbecue Bacon Cheeseburger, Nacho Bowl, Rice Bowl, Southwest Caesar Salad, and Churro Loops — one of the more significant menu overhauls seen at Pecos Bill in quite some time.
Over at Golden Oak Outpost, guests now have a new sweet option. Banana-Caramel Beignets have joined the menu along with freshly brewed Joffrey's Coffee.
Not everything involved additions, however. Liberty Tree Tavern removed its House-made Liberty Sangria, while Liberty Square Market dropped the Red, White, and Blue Slushy. Those removals make clear that Disney isn't simply expanding menus — in several cases, it is replacing existing offerings with entirely different choices.
Disney's Grand Floridian Sees a Major Shake-Up
The changes become even more noticeable once guests leave the parks. Grand Floridian Cafe at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa lost a lengthy list of food and beverage options. Disney removed the Seasonal Soup, Floridian-style Eggs Benedict, Breakfast Sandwich, and Tofu Power Bowl.
Several drinks also disappeared, including the Pomegranate Limeade, Watermelon Lemonade, Royal Berry Spritzer, Pomegranate Paradiso, Spicy Paloma, French 75, Gold Rush Cocktail, and Blackberry-Orange Spritz. The restaurant did add one new item called So Many Wishes.
Meanwhile, nearby Gasparilla Island Grill gained three new entrées: a Salmon Bowl, Breaded Chicken, and Glazed Meatloaf.
Ale & Compass Gets One of Disney World's Biggest New Menus
Perhaps the most dramatic overhaul happened at Disney's Yacht Club Resort. Ale & Compass Restaurant removed nearly 20 offerings, including the New England Breakfast Quiche, Smoked Salmon Flatbread, Steak and Egg, Crab Cake Benedict, Protein Bowl, Red Wine-braised Flat Iron, Corn Agnolotti, Bone-In Pork Chop,
