The Orange County Sheriff's Office has responded to two separate violent incidents in the Magic Kingdom Resort Area at Walt Disney World Resort within a 24-hour window, according to scanner reports. Here's everything we know about both altercations.
First Incident Near the TTC and Disney's Polynesian Village Resort
The first call came in at 9:41 p.m. on September 22. Scanner monitoring account @WDWActiveCrime on X (formerly Twitter) reported a "Battery (Unwanted Touching or Striking Someone)" in the Transportation & Ticket Center (TTC) and Disney's Polynesian Village Resort Area:
🚨 Police Alert 🚓 – 9/22/26 9:41 PM
🚨: Battery (Unwanted Touching or Striking Someone) at 📍: Transportation & Ticket Center / Disney's Polynesian Village Resort Area
#WaltDisneyWorld #Disney
A Google Maps screenshot attached to the post pinpointed the incident on Seven Seas Drive, between the Transportation & Ticket Center and Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. However, it's worth noting that this address has previously been used as a generic location to track law enforcement responses in the area, so it likely does not reflect the exact spot where the battery occurred.
Second Battery in the Magic Kingdom Resort Area
Less than 24 hours later, at 1:37 p.m. on September 23, @WDWActiveCrime reported another battery call — this time in the Magic Kingdom/Contemporary Resort Area, placing the incident somewhere within Magic Kingdom Park, Disney's Contemporary Resort, or somewhere between the two:
🚨 Police Alert 🚓 – 9/23/26 1:37 PM
🚨: Battery (Unwanted Touching or Striking Someone) at 📍: Magic Kingdom / Contemporary Resort Area
#WaltDisneyWorld #Disney
As with the first incident, the Google Maps screenshot shows the scanner report was logged at a generic address along World Drive, rather than the precise location where the 911 call originated.
What We Know So Far
In both cases, it remains unclear whether those involved were Disney cast members, guests, or a combination of both. Walt Disney World Resort has not issued any public comment on either incident, and the Orange County Sheriff's Office has not released further details about either battery. Additional information may become available if criminal charges are filed or a police report is made public.
At this time, operations in the Magic Kingdom Resort Area appear to be continuing normally. Guests with planned visits to Magic Kingdom Park, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, the Transportation & Ticket Center, or Disney's Contemporary Resort should feel comfortable proceeding with their plans.
