Disneyland Resort has quietly updated its plans for one of Fantasyland's most enchanting spots: the Pixie Hollow meet-and-greet, home to Tinker Bell character encounters, is set to close for refurbishment on August 4, 2026.
What We Know About the Closure
On July 27, Disneyland Resort updated the official Pixie Hollow meet-and-greet page on its website to reflect the upcoming closure. Through August 3, the Tinker Bell character experience will continue operating during its normal daily hours — 8:15 a.m. to 10:20 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. — so there's still a small window to catch the iconic fairy before she steps away.
Pixie Hollow is located in Fantasyland at Disneyland Park, nestled between Matterhorn Bobsleds and Astro Orbiter, next to Sleeping Beauty Castle. Disney has not shared a reason for the closure, and no reopening date appears on the Disneyland Resort operational calendar, which currently runs through September 7.
A Space with Recent History
This isn't Pixie Hollow's first extended absence. The area was closed for nine months between 2024 and 2025 for a reimagining project. During that time, Disneyland Resort converted a second nearby meet-and-greet space — previously used by some of Tinker Bell's fairy friends — into an extended queue for the main Tinker Bell encounter. Other fairies have not met guests at Pixie Hollow for some time.
Could a Disney+ Series Be Connected?
Disney is currently developing a live-action drama series centered on the iconic character, titled Tink, which will stream exclusively on Disney+. No release date has been announced for the show. It's possible the Pixie Hollow closure could be tied to that project in some way, but Disneyland Resort has not confirmed any connection.
What About Tinker Bell in the Meantime?
Disneyland Resort has not announced whether Tinker Bell will appear at a temporary meet-and-greet location during the closure. For the most up-to-date entertainment schedule, keep an eye on the Disneyland Resort app or check in with a character attendant during your visit.
