Great news for fans of one of Disney California Adventure's most whimsical thrill rides — Silly Symphony Swings has officially reopened at Disneyland Resort following a lengthy refurbishment.
The Swings Are Spinning Again
The attraction first closed in late April 2026, leaving guests without the soaring, spinning experience for roughly four months. Now, as of the end of August, all temporary construction walls and scrim have been removed, and the ride is once again welcoming park guests.
No major changes to the exterior façade or swing structure were apparent beyond typical surface cleaning. While the visible result is a light visual refresh, the extended closure likely involved mechanical maintenance on the ride itself.
A Summer of Updates
The refurbishment process was tracked throughout the summer. On August 21, it was reported that the scrim and scaffolding had been fully taken down — though the attraction remained closed to guests at that point before its eventual reopening.
About the Attraction
Silly Symphony Swings is based on the 1935 short The Band Concert, which features Mickey Mouse as a conductor who keeps his orchestra playing even as a tornado lifts them all into the sky. It's a classic piece of Disney animation history brought to life as a soaring swing ride.
