Tiana's Bayou Adventure opened at Disneyland in November 2024 to the kind of reception that comes from years of anticipation. Inheriting the beloved log flume format of Splash Mountain — including its signature 52-foot drop — and wrapping it all in the story and characters of The Princess and the Frog, the ride became one of the most popular attractions at Disneyland Park almost immediately. Guests who rode it multiple times on opening weekend talked about the theming, the animatronics, and the music. It felt like a worthy successor to an attraction that had meant something to generations of visitors.

That enthusiasm has not faded. But over the past month, something serious has unfolded on this attraction — something that cannot be treated as a series of unrelated incidents.

Three Incidents in a Compressed Window of Time

TMZ has reported that a child exited a log vehicle on Tiana's Bayou Adventure over a recent weekend, marking the second reported incident involving a child leaving a ride vehicle on this specific attraction in about a month. Combined with a separate adult guest exit incident that occurred between the two child-related events, the ride has now seen three unauthorized vehicle exits in a short period of time.

According to sources with direct knowledge who spoke to TMZ, the most recent incident occurred on a Saturday night. A cast member monitoring the attraction on closed-circuit television saw the child leave the log and immediately initiated an emergency ride stop. The ride was temporarily shut down following the incident.

Disneyland officials confirmed the event to TMZ in a statement:
