If you were planning to grab a Chili Cone Queso or a Churro on your next visit to Cars Land, you may want to check ahead. As of July 9, three of the five cone-shaped dining stands at the Cozy Cone Motel in Disney California Adventure Park are temporarily closed for refurbishment.
Which Cones Are Closed?
According to a report from WDWNT, the following three Cozy Cone Motel locations are affected:
- Cozy Cone Motel One (Churros) — closed effective July 9
- Cozy Cone Motel Three (Chili Cone Queso) — closed effective July 8
- Cozy Cone Motel Four (Frozen Cone-Coctions) — closed effective July 9
All three are expected to remain closed through July 10. Disney cast members reportedly told WDWNT that the floors inside each location are being redone, which accounts for the brief refurbishment windows.
Good News: Some Fan Favorites Are Still Available
The other two cone stands — Cozy Cone Motel Two (Ice Cream Cones) and Cozy Cone Motel Five (Popcone) — closed earlier in the week for similar work but have since reopened. In addition to their regular menus, these two locations are currently offering select items from the closed cones, including the beloved Bacon Mac & Cheese Cone and the Chili Cone Queso.
No Official Word from Disneyland Resort
What's a little unusual here is that Disneyland Resort's official website makes no mention of the closures or the ongoing refurbishment. While the park doesn't typically issue statements on routine maintenance, it does usually post temporary closure notices when dining locations are shut down due to construction. So far, no such notice has appeared for the Cozy Cone Motel stands.
