Aerial photographer @bioreconstruct has shared new photos on X giving us a bird's-eye view of the construction underway for Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift at Universal Studios Florida.
What the Aerial Photos Reveal
The latest images highlight progress on the launch track and station buildings. On the second station building, a blue structural frame is being added, and a similar blue frame can be spotted alongside the track heading into the building.
Zooming out, two blue tracks come into view. The lower track handles the launch at the start of the ride, while the upper track is used for returning trains. One photo also provides a look at a platform along one of the brake runs, where the track heads toward the station to unload guests.
Additional images show both tracks once more — the higher track returning, the lower track for the launch — along with ongoing construction in the station areas, where piles of dirt and materials remain visible. A final zoomed-out shot captures the full scope of progress at the station building.
Previous Milestones
Earlier construction updates showed track installation along the ride's large curves, as well as the 170-foot-tall spike being topped off — marking the completion of the tallest point of the structure. The topping off was celebrated with an American flag and a Fast & Furious 25th anniversary flag, a nod to the first film's release in 2001.
What's Next
Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift replaces Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit and is expected to open in 2027. One version of the coaster, however, is set to open sooner at Universal Studios Hollywood.
