What should have been an exciting wait for one of Walt Disney World Resort's most beloved rides turned into a disturbing scene on Sunday, August 2, when two large groups of guests came to blows in the queue for Avatar Flight of Passage at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park.
Brawl Erupts After 80-Minute Argument in Line
According to Reddit user u/United_Excitement329, who shared a video of the incident that afternoon, the two groups had been arguing verbally for the entirety of the 80-minute wait. The conflict was not related to line-cutting, though the cause of the original dispute remains unknown. Minutes before boarding, the verbal argument escalated into an all-out physical brawl.
Fight broke out this morning in line for Avatar: Flight of Passage. I'm not sure what started the fight, but I was told the two groups had been arguing the entire wait time.

The video, filmed by another guest present at the time, shows several men and women hitting and punching each other. The brawl appeared to spread through multiple rooms in the attraction's queue. A Disney cast member can be seen running up and attempting to ask the guests to stop — however, cast members are trained not to physically intervene and are instead instructed to call security.
Orange County Sheriff's Office Called to the Scene
The Orange County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call reporting a battery — described as "unwanted touching or striking someone" — on Savannah Circle W at 11:21 a.m. on August 2. Scanner monitoring account @WDWActiveCrime posted the call log on X (formerly Twitter), and the address corresponds with the approximate location of Avatar Flight of Passage at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park.
