Guests visiting Disneyland Resort on Wednesday were greeted by a spooky surprise: Disney California Adventure Park has been transformed overnight with Oogie Boogie Bash Halloween decorations, arriving just a few weeks ahead of the first after-hours event on August 18.
A Hauntingly Beautiful New Look
According to WDWNT, the festive decorations went up overnight on August 5, and the most eye-catching addition is hard to miss. The iconic Oogie Boogie sign now looms above the park entrance, featuring the beloved villain from Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993) set against a full moon, crawling tree branches, and jack-o-lanterns. Guests heading out of the park are treated to the back side of the sign, which displays Oogie Boogie's face silhouetted against that same glowing moon.
Inside the park, the spooky spirit continues. Stationary black bats now appear to swarm out of the tower atop Carthay Circle Restaurant, making for a wonderfully eerie scene.
Everything You Need to Know About Oogie Boogie Bash 2026
Oogie Boogie Bash will take over Disney California Adventure Park on select nights from August 18 through October 31, 2026. If you're hoping to snag tickets, act fast — several dates are already sold out, including nearly every Sunday (with the exception of August 30) and Halloween night itself. The good news: most weekday dates throughout August, September, and October remain available, including opening night.
Ticketholders can look forward to:
- Limited-capacity access to Disney California Adventure Park
- The Disney Villains Grove
- Trick-or-treat trails
- Halloween-themed attraction overlays
- Rare and costumed character meet-and-greets
- Exclusive entertainment
One notable change this year: the Frightfully Fun Parade will not be performing at Oogie Boogie Bash 2026 due to ongoing construction at Disney California Adventure Park. In its place, Disneyland Resort has announced an all-new Haunted Mansion-themed street party.
Whether you're a longtime Bash fan or planning your first visit, Disney California Adventure is already looking delightfully spooky — and the fun is only just beginning!
