Walt Disney World Resort has finally revealed what's replacing a long-dormant area of Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom Park — and guests arriving on July 13 got their first look at the newly rethemed character meet-and-greet spot near Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin.

What Changed in Tomorrowland's Meet-and-Greet Area?

The location was once home to a Buzz Lightyear-themed backdrop and a platform where character performers would stamp guests' autograph books. (Toys don't know how to write, after all!) Buzz Lightyear hasn't greeted guests there in quite some time, and the platform was removed long ago.

As of Monday, the intergalactic backdrop has been updated with more generic Tomorrowland theming. The toy-like faux-button decals and battery-inspired flooring tiles have been removed, and all remaining frames and details have been painted blue or silver. The LED sign that once read
