This summer at Disney World has been, to put it mildly, interesting. Wait times haven't been what most of us were expecting, and while lower crowds are never something to complain about, the numbers have been genuinely puzzling. But Sunday, July 5th took things to a whole new level — and we had to do a double-take when we saw the data.
Think about it: the Fourth of July weekend had just wrapped up. Some families were heading home, sure, but plenty of others likely made that weekend the start of their vacation. So imagine the surprise when the most popular park in all of Disney World — Magic Kingdom — didn't post a single wait time over an hour for the entire day.
Magic Kingdom: A Dream Day for Guests
It's been a long time since we've seen wait times this consistently low across the board at Magic Kingdom. The headliners — Peter Pan's Flight, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and TRON Lightcycle / Run — all tied at just 50 minutes as the day's peak waits. That means not one attraction in the park cracked the one-hour mark all day long. Here's a look at how the numbers played out across the day's snapshots:
Snapshot 1
- Big Thunder Mountain Railroad: 0 min
- Haunted Mansion: 0 min
- Mickey's PhilharMagic: 0 min
- TRON Lightcycle Run: 0 min
- Astro Orbiter: 5 min
- Barnstormer featuring the Great Goofini: 5 min
- Carousel of Progress: 5 min
- Dumbo the Flying Elephant: 5 min
