A guest has come forward claiming they experienced a rear-end collision while riding Radiator Springs Racers, the beloved thrill ride located in Cars Land at Disney California Adventure.
What Happened on the Ride?
A Reddit user going by the name nogluten_shark shared the story — along with a photo of the incident — on the r/Disneyland subreddit. In their post, they described the moment things went unexpectedly wrong:
"Anyone else ever been in a car crash on the Radiator Springs ride? We were in yellow when the car came to a sudden stop and car behind hit us pretty good."
The guest also noted that Cast Members did not ask if they were okay following the incident, though they suspected this was for liability reasons. "They just got us in other cars, and away we went," the user explained.
Is This More Common Than Guests Realize?
In the comments section of the post, another user offered some interesting context, sharing what they had learned on a behind-the-scenes tour of the attraction: "When my wife and I did a behind-the-scenes tour for this ride, they said it happens more often than people think and they call it 'kissing.'"
The original poster responded to that tidbit with a bit of dry humor: "Interesting. Maybe that's why they seemed so unconcerned. Same ole same ole to them. Did not feel like a kiss."
