Great news for little ones staying at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa — the Alice in Wonderland-themed splash pad is back open following a refurbishment! The area had been closed since mid-August, and now guests can once again cool off in this whimsical water play space.
What Changed?
During the refurbishment, the splash pad's flooring was redone. There is, however, one noticeable difference: the giant Mad Hatter's hat at the top of the feature no longer tips forward to spill water over guests. The hat has been bolted in place, and water now spills out naturally due to the angle rather than through that signature tipping motion.
More Refurbishment Work at the Resort
The splash pad isn't the only area of the Grand Floridian that has been getting some attention. Other ongoing refurbishment work at the resort includes the bus walkway railing, as well as the Grand Floridian Cafe.
