We can now confirm that Frozen 3 will bring that proposal full circle, as the film will feature Kristoff and Anna's wedding — making them officially husband and wife.
Olaf Has a Girlfriend Named Samantha
Here's a delightful detail for eagle-eyed Frozen 2 fans: remember that brief moment when Olaf wandered alone through the Enchanted Forest, calling out for Anna, Elsa, and Sven — and then added "Samantha?" before laughing and saying, "I don't even know a Samantha"? Well, it turns out that throwaway joke was more of a setup than anyone realized. In Frozen 3, our favorite lovable snowman will have a romantic interest, and her name is Samantha.
New Character Looks Revealed
Ahead of these story details, fans got a first look at new character designs for the film through a set of statues showcasing the Arendelle crew in their new looks. Anna and Elsa are both sporting fresh outfits: Elsa is dressed in a sparkly blue gown featuring diamond crystals down the front of the skirt, while Anna is wearing a pink dress adorned with flowers. Meanwhile, Olaf, Kristoff, and Sven are all dressed in formal attire — which, given the wedding news, makes a lot of sense!
What We Know About Frozen 3
Frozen 3 is set to release in theaters on Wednesday, November 24, 2027, just before Thanksgiving. The film is part of a two-part finale for the franchise, with both Frozen 3 and Frozen 4 being produced together. The two films are expected to resolve longstanding questions from the series, including who gave Elsa her powers and what happened to Hans.
At D23 in 2024, fans got an early glimpse at concept art showing Anna and Elsa on horseback — with Olaf riding along with Anna and a shadowy figure visible on the water nearby. Earlier this year, Kristen Bell shared on social media that she was already in the recording studio bringing Anna to life for the third film.
