Great news for Descendants fans — filming has officially wrapped for Hidden Heroes: A Descendants Story, the newest installment in the beloved franchise!
A New Chapter in the Descendants Universe
The wrap was announced on Instagram, with the cast pictured in their costumes and props representing classic Disney sidekicks. Hidden Heroes: A Descendants Story expands the Descendants universe by putting the spotlight on the "unsung heroes" of Disney stories. Here's the official description of the musical film:
Hidden in the center of each fairy tale is a portal to a secret training facility where the descendants of legendary sidekicks are challenged to join the elite ranks of partners to heroes. When a villainous duo comes to Sidekick Academy, a group of fresh recruits must band together—without heroes, without parents—using only their new skills to save the fairytale realm before it's too late.
Disney greenlit the film in early August, announcing a lead cast whose characters are the children of some truly iconic Disney figures — including Genie from Aladdin, Yzma from The Emperor's New Groove, and more.
