Disney has filed a Notice of Commencement for construction work at the Germany Pavilion in EPCOT, pointing to some routine maintenance on the horizon for this fan-favorite World Showcase stop.

The permit, filed on July 8, 2026, covers General Construction at the pavilion. Disney's Facility Asset Management (FAM) team filed the permit, with MSG Legacy Inc.'s RSS Roofing Services & Solutions named as the contractor — a strong indicator that this work is focused on a roof refurbishment.

It's also worth noting that FAM being the filing team suggests this project doesn't involve any major changes to the pavilion itself — just the kind of careful upkeep that helps keep EPCOT looking its best.

Guests visiting the Germany Pavilion in recent weeks may have already spotted some clues: scaffolding has gone up outside Stein Haus. While this permit could be related to that activity, it is somewhat unusual to see a permit filed after construction materials have already arrived on site.
