Great news for guests staying at Disney's BoardWalk Inn at Walt Disney World Resort — the BoardWalk Village Green is officially open again following two and a half weeks of refurbishment for the installation of brand-new astroturf!

A Fresh Look for the BoardWalk Village Green

The Village Green courtyard had been closed since August 10, 2026, with the old turf removed within just a few days of the closure. New turf was spotted covering the entire green on August 22, though rolling planters were still blocking access at that point. Now, guests can once again enjoy the space in full.

The new astroturf feels pillow-y, smells fresh, and looks cleaner than before. From what can be seen, no other changes have been made to the area. The new turf is located in the large central courtyard that faces Crescent Lake, next to the Surrey Bike Rental kiosk.
