A New Look Takes Shape at Disney's BoardWalk Inn

Construction at Disney's BoardWalk Inn isn't limited to just one project right now. Earlier this week, it was reported that Walt Disney World Resort had installed new turf in the Village Green area, which closed on August 10 and will remain inaccessible to Deluxe Resort hotel guests through September 4. But that's only part of the story — the former Jellyrolls piano bar is also in the middle of a significant transformation.

Walt Disney World Resort has begun repainting the facade of the former Jellyrolls as part of its conversion into The Hurly Burly Jazz Club. Disney previously announced that the bar — which closed in early 2025 — would be reimagined as a historic seaside theater venue. The new space is planned to offer family-friendly activities during the day and an adults-only live music lounge at night, along with themed cocktails and light bites.

The Transformation of the Former Jellyrolls

On August 23, WDWNT reported that crews were repainting the wave design on the front of the former Jellyrolls building in a darker blue. Much of the painting on the lakeside of the building is already complete, while the BoardWalk-facing side still shows the original lighter blue color.

The Hurly Burly Jazz Club is scheduled to welcome its first guests in late 2026. Walt Disney World Resort has not yet announced an exact grand-opening date for the new entertainment venue.
