Big news for holiday planners: Disneyland Resort has announced a change to its 2026 holiday season start date — and it's a change fans will welcome with open arms.

The Date Has Changed

\n\n

Earlier this year, Disney confirmed that the 2026 holiday season would kick off on November 18. Now, the Resort is backtracking on that date. Both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park will now begin their holiday celebrations on November 13, 2026 — five days earlier than originally announced — and the festivities will run all the way through January 6, 2027.

That means guests can look forward to nearly a week more holiday fun than previously expected, with less than two weeks separating the end of Halloween season and the start of the holidays.

What's Coming to Disneyland Park

\n\n

Disneyland Park will be packed with returning holiday favorites. A Christmas Fantasy Parade will bring Santa Claus, Disney characters, toy soldiers, and dancing reindeer to Main Street, U.S.A. After dark, Believe…In Holiday Magic fireworks will light up the sky with festive music and simulated snowfall, while Sleeping Beauty Castle receives its nightly Wintertime Enchantment.
