A Walt Disney World Resort guest recently received one of the most memorable — and unexpected — birthday surprises imaginable at a Disney Springs restaurant. Instead of a cupcake or a scoop of ice cream, the staff brought out a single lit candle, melted at the bottom to stand upright on a completely empty ceramic plate.
A Birthday Moment No One Saw Coming
TikToker Maddie Brewster (@maddiebrewster_pt) shared a video of the moment this week, and it's easy to see why it caught people's attention. The group had been celebrating a birthday dinner at Frontera Cocina, a Mexican restaurant located in the Town Center neighborhood at Disney Springs. After spending $168 on dinner, the birthday guest was serenaded with a round of "Happy Birthday" — and then presented with, well, nothing but a flickering flame.

In the comments section of her TikTok, Brewster was quick to point out that the group held no ill will toward their server. "We don't blame him, it's gotta be the restaurant policy or something," she wrote, adding that their waiter was "so nice."
Some viewers speculated that the birthday guest must have had dietary restrictions that kept Frontera Cocina from serving a proper dessert. Brewster set the record straight: "Nope! No dietary restrictions. We just said we were there to celebrate his birthday and this is what they brought out when they sang happy birthday."
