Naomi Bulochnikov-Paul, executive vice president of communications for Disney Entertainment Television, is departing The Walt Disney Company after eight years with the organization. Her exit was reported by Variety and arrives during a period of notable shifts across Disney's television and entertainment divisions.

A Long Career at Disney

Bulochnikov-Paul joined Disney in 2018, initially working within the Freeform communications team before being named senior vice president of communications for ABC Entertainment in 2019. Over the years, she took on increasing responsibility across the company's entertainment portfolio.

In 2023, she was promoted to executive vice president of publicity and head of communications for Disney General Entertainment. In that expansive role, she oversaw both external and internal communications, served as the division's primary spokesperson, and continued leading publicity efforts for ABC Entertainment, ABC News, Freeform, and Onyx Collective.

Her responsibilities grew further as Disney reorganized its entertainment operations. In April 2026, the company announced that Bulochnikov-Paul would continue leading communications for Disney Entertainment Television — including its advertising business — reporting to Disney Entertainment Television chairman Debra O'Connell and Chief Communications Officer Paul Roeder.

Departing During a Season of Change

Bulochnikov-Paul's exit comes as Disney has been navigating significant leadership transitions. The company has seen several changes since Josh D'Amaro became CEO earlier this year, along with multiple rounds of job cuts across various divisions. Earlier this month, Disney also announced that Joe Earley would be moving into the newly created role of president of Disney Entertainment Television Franchise and Content Strategy.

Recognized Beyond the Office

Outside of her professional accomplishments, Bulochnikov-Paul has also been recognized for her personal courage. In June 2026, she was honored with the Medal of Hope at the Race to Erase MS Gala, where she spoke publicly about her experience with multiple sclerosis.

Disney has not yet announced who will succeed Bulochnikov-Paul in the communications role. We'll be keeping an eye out for any updates on that front!
