If you were hoping to ride Crush's Coaster on your next trip to Disneyland Paris Resort, you'll want to plan ahead. The beloved Finding Nemo (2003)-inspired attraction at Disney Adventure World (formerly known as Walt Disney Studios Park) closed for refurbishment on September 7, and Disney has now confirmed the work will continue through summer 2027.

The Final Day and What Guests Found

September 6, 2026, marked the last day guests could experience Crush's Coaster before the closure began. When visitors arrived at Disney Adventure World on September 7, they were greeted by construction walls surrounding the Worlds of Pixar ride. Some of those barriers featured submarine-style windows decorated with images of beloved Finding Nemo characters, and bilingual signs on several of the walls read:

"This area is being refurbished for your future enjoyment."

It's worth noting that Crush's Coaster is one of the rare Disney attractions that exists exclusively at a single park — Disney Adventure World at Disneyland Paris Resort. The ride has not been recreated at Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World Resort, or any other international Disney destination, making it a truly unique experience for European Disney park guests.

A Sneak Peek at the Ongoing Work

While Disneyland Paris Resort has not shared its specific plans for the attraction or revealed whether guests can expect any noticeable changes when it reopens, a recent update has given fans a glimpse of the refurbishment in progress. On September 28, X (formerly Twitter) user @PixiedustDLP shared photos of Disney cast members actively working on the ride, noting:

"Crews were working on the facade of Crush's Coaster this afternoon. 🐢🛠 The attraction is currently closed for a large-scale refurbishment and is expected to remain closed until summer 2027. #DisneylandParis"

The images show multiple cast members in construction lifts working on the exterior facade of the Finding Nemo-inspired attraction. Of course, what's happening on the inside of the ride remains a mystery for now.

What We Know So Far

Disneyland Paris Resort has not announced an exact reopening date for Crush's Coaster. What we do know is that the attraction is expected to return to Worlds of Pixar in Disney Adventure World sometime in the summer of 2027.
