As of September 7, 2026, Crush's Coaster — the Finding Nemo (2003)-inspired roller coaster at Disneyland Paris Resort — has officially closed its doors to guests. The attraction won't be back until summer 2027, giving Disney several months to rework and improve the experience.

A Disneyland Paris Original Goes Offline

Crush's Coaster originally opened in 2007 at what was then known as Walt Disney Studios Park (now Disney Adventure World). Inspired by the iconic sea turtle from Finding Nemo, the ride holds a special place in the hearts of European Disney fans — it's one of the few attractions that exists exclusively at Disneyland Paris Resort and has never been replicated at any other Disney park in the world.

Sunday, September 6, marked the final day guests could hop aboard before the closure. Disneyland Paris wasted no time: by Monday, construction walls were already up around the entire ride facade.

What Does the Closure Look Like?

X (formerly Twitter) user @PixiedustDLP shared photos of the newly installed barriers on September 7, 2026. The blue wooden walls surrounding the attraction feature submarine-style windows decorated with Finding Nemo characters. Part of the nearby Worlds of Pixar character meet-and-greet area has also been blocked off.

A sign posted on one of the barriers, written in both English and French, offers guests a reassuring message:

"This area is being refurbished for your future enjoyment."

What's Being Fixed?

Disneyland Paris Resort hasn't officially detailed what changes are planned for Crush's Coaster. However, guests had been reporting issues with the attraction since mid-2025 — specifically, repeated malfunctions of an audio-animatronic seagull in the ride queue. Despite the resort's silence on specifics, this refurbishment is expected to be the most extensive technical overhaul the attraction has ever undergone.

No exact reopening date has been announced beyond the general target of summer 2027.

A Park in the Middle of a Big Transformation

The closure comes as Disneyland Paris Resort's second gate continues to evolve. Walt Disney Studios Park officially reopened as Disney Adventure World in March 2026, reimagined as an immersive journey through beloved franchises — including Marvel Avengers Campus and the brand-new World of Frozen. Future additions to the park include a log flume ride, a land inspired by The Lion King (1994), and a rumored expansion themed to Avatar (2009).

Crush's Coaster remains a Worlds of Pixar attraction within Disney Adventure World and will stay closed through summer 2027 as Disney works to bring it back better than ever.
