If you're planning a trip to Disneyland Paris Resort, there's something new to be aware of before you go. On August 24, guests arriving at the park discovered construction walls blocking portions of the original Adventureland area — specifically along a walkway on the Sleeping Beauty Castle side of the land.
Construction Walls Go Up in Adventureland
The brown, gray, and beige barriers appeared without much advance notice. X (formerly Twitter) user @PixiedustDLP was among the first to share photos of the new walls, posting:

A sign affixed to the barriers carries a message in both English and French: "This area is being refurbished for your future enjoyment." Beyond that, Disneyland Paris Resort has not shared any additional details about what's planned for the space. As is typical, the resort has not made a formal announcement, since Disney parks generally don't publicize routine refurbishment work that doesn't force attraction closures or significantly affect the overall guest experience.
Plenty More Construction Happening Across the Resort
Adventureland isn't the only part of Disneyland Paris Resort seeing some big changes. Just across the esplanade, the former Walt Disney Studios Park — now rebranded as Disney Adventure World — is in the midst of a major transformation. Among the new attractions currently under construction:
- A log flume ride inspired by The Lion King (1994)
- Wilderness Explorers Sky Swings inspired by Up (2009), set to open in 2027
And there's even more exciting news on the horizon. At D23 Expo 2026, Disneyland Paris Resort announced that Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain will permanently close in 2027. Walt Disney Imagineers will then restore the beloved indoor roller coaster to its original steampunk identity: Space Mountain – De la Terre à la Lune, complete with the attraction's iconic original soundtrack.
It's clearly a busy season of change at Disneyland Paris Resort — and while construction walls are never the most glamorous sight, they're often a sign that something wonderful is on the way!
