On Sunday, August 30, Mickey Mouse packed his bags and made his way from Florida to North-Central Pennsylvania — and it was quite the trip! Representing Disney Cruise Line as Captain Mickey Mouse, the 97-year-old Walt Disney Company mascot traveled to South Williamsport, Pennsylvania, to throw the ceremonial first pitch at the championship game of the 2026 Little League World Series.

The official Little League account, @LittleLeague, shared the magical moment on X (formerly known as Twitter):

The championship game itself was a memorable one. Pariba Little League from Willemstad, Curaçao, defeated Paseo Verde Little League from Henderson, Nevada, by a score of 11–2. The victory marked Curaçao's second Little League World Series title — the country's first came all the way back in 2004.

Why Was Mickey There?

Mickey Mouse made the trip to encourage players, families, and spectators to set sail on a Disney Cruise. Disney Cruise Line's most-used port is Port Canaveral, Florida, but the company's eight active ships also depart from ports across North America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore. Looking ahead, Disney plans to expand its fleet with five additional vessels and will begin sailing from Japan as early as 2029.

An Important Note About Mickey's Whereabouts

As any Disney Parks fan knows, there is only one Mickey Mouse. And yet, with a little pixie dust and a whole lot of magic, Mickey and his pals manage to appear in theme parks in Florida, California, and around the world — meeting guests, starring in shows, and waving from parade floats.

So while Mickey was indeed in Pennsylvania on Sunday on behalf of Disney Cruise Line, he also continued making magic for guests at Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, aboard the eight active Disney Cruise Line ships, and at Disney parks across the globe. Magic is amazing, isn't it?
