Big news for fans of the Artemis Fowl book series — the globally beloved franchise from author Eoin Colfer has officially been greenlit as an animated TV series for Disney Channel and Disney+. Colfer himself announced the exciting development during the "25 Years of Artemis Fowl" panel at New York Comic Con, and he'll be serving as an executive producer on the project, bringing his creative vision to the adaptation.

What the Series Is About

The action-adventure fantasy series follows 13-year-old genius Artemis Fowl as he discovers an underground world of armed, dangerous, and surprisingly high-tech fairies. Driven by a plan to capture one and steal its magic, Artemis hopes to heal his dying mother and save his family. The series promises to dig deeper into the characters and lore that have made the books so beloved.

Alongside Colfer, the series is executive produced by Emmy® and Annie Award winner Ben Juwono and Colleen Evanson.
