James Bond is officially on the verge of making franchise history — and the excitement is building fast.
Amazon MGM's upcoming 007 film, directed by Denis Villeneuve (of the Dune films), is set to introduce a brand-new actor as the iconic MI6 spy. The new film effectively picks up the baton from Daniel Craig, whose five-film run included Casino Royale (2006), Quantum of Solace (2008), Skyfall (2012), Spectre (2015), and No Time to Die (2021).

Earlier this year, IO Interactive released the third-person action-adventure game 007 First Light (2026), starring Patrick Gibson (Dexter: Original Sin) as a younger Bond — a casting that was officially revealed late last year. Then, just as fans were getting used to a new face behind 007, another actor was announced: Isaac Rouse (The Crown Season 6) will voice a teenage Bond in an upcoming audio drama adaptation of Charlie Higson's 2005 Young Bond novel SilverFin, set during Bond's time at Eton.
And now, the cinematic Bond announcement is on its way — making this an unprecedented triple casting in the span of roughly a year.
