For at least the third time this summer, a child stood up moments before the 50-plus-foot drop on Tiana's Bayou Adventure at Disneyland Park. This time, cast members caught the young guest in the act — and the entire family was removed from the ride. According to reports from other guests on the attraction, the family was also kicked out of Disneyland Resort.

Earlier Incidents on Tiana's Bayou Adventure This Summer

Disneyland Resort's version of Tiana's Bayou Adventure has made headlines several times this summer. The first viral story came in late June, when a young teenager climbed out of his family's log at the very top of the attraction's 52.6-foot drop. In a terrifying moment captured on video, the boy slipped and fell the entire length of the highest hill on the log flume ride. Miraculously, he suffered only minor injuries and was released after being treated.

In a rare move for the Southern California resort, Disneyland issued a statement following the fall, confirming that local authorities had investigated the ride's safety mechanisms and cleared it to reopen the next day.

Then in July, a second child climbed out of the former Splash Mountain ride just before the big drop. That incident caused an operational delay, though that child was not injured and did not fall down the hill. Whether that child was attempting to replicate the viral story from the month before remains unclear.

What Happened in the Latest Incident

Last week, Instagram user @dvnttrip shared a video showing Disney cast members removing a family from their log on Tiana's Bayou Adventure, right before the ride vehicle ascended to the 50-plus-foot drop. Several logs had bunched up behind the family's, making it clear that other guests had been waiting a while for cast members to resolve the situation.

Which of the multiple children in the video stood up — and why — remains unclear. As cast members pulled the group from the ride vehicle, another cast member made the following announcement over the intercom:

"Attention inside Tiana's Bayou Adventure: it is experiencing a temporary delay in operation. Please remain seated with your hands and seat inside the vehicle. Failure to do so will result in removal from the park. Thank you!"

Per that announcement, the family faced removal from Disneyland Park after one of their children stood up on the attraction. It remains unclear whether they were asked to leave for the day or received a longer ban from Disneyland Resort property.

Tiana's Bayou Adventure has operated normally in the days following this most recent incident.
