Marvel fans, it's time to assemble — because a brand-new official podcast is on its way to help you gear up for Avengers: Doomsday. The Countdown to Avengers: Doomsday Official Podcast has been announced, and it's co-hosted by none other than Frank Alvarez and Iman Vellani, the actress behind Ms. Marvel herself.
What to Expect from the Podcast
Spanning five episodes, the podcast will take fans on a journey through the Marvel Cinematic Universe, revisiting key films and recapping all the fan-favorite moments and lasting legacy that have led to the upcoming showdown in Avengers: Doomsday. Think of it as the ultimate behind-the-scenes rewatch experience.
The first episode drops on August 27, with new episodes rolling out weekly after that. The fifth and final episode will spotlight Avengers: Endgame — and it's timed perfectly to coincide with the September 25 theatrical re-release of that beloved film.
You'll be able to catch the podcast on Disney+ and YouTube, while the audio-only version will be available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and wherever else you listen to your podcasts. An audio trailer is already available on Spotify if you want a sneak peek right now.
About Avengers: Doomsday
The podcast is building toward one of the most anticipated Marvel films in years. Avengers: Doomsday is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo — the duo behind Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame — with Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige among its producers. A special look at the film was also shown at D23 last week.
The film carries a runtime of 165 minutes (two hours and 45 minutes), though that figure is subject to change. Domestic tickets for Infinity Vision theaters — Disney's premium large format theater certification — went on sale July 20. Infinity Vision tickets will also be available for the Avengers: Endgame re-release in September.
Avengers: Doomsday arrives in theaters on December 18, 2026, and will be followed by Avengers: Secret Wars, currently scheduled for December 17, 2027.
