Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party comes with a hefty ticket price, but once you're inside Magic Kingdom, there are a few things you can enjoy without spending a single extra dollar. With so much happening — costumes, rare character meet-and-greets, special entertainment, and attractions running until midnight — it's easy to focus entirely on the big-ticket experiences and overlook some smaller perks that are already included with admission.
Here's a look at three complimentary offerings guests should keep on their radar this year.
A Quick Look at the Party Itself
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a separately ticketed event held on select nights at Magic Kingdom during the Halloween season. Once the party kicks off, the park takes on a whole different energy. Guests can wear costumes in line with Disney's guidelines, collect candy along trick-or-treat trails, meet characters not typically available during a regular visit, and enjoy party-exclusive entertainment.
The Mickey's Boo-To-You Halloween Parade is one of the biggest draws of the evening. Disney's Not-So-Spooky Spectacular brings Halloween fireworks to Cinderella Castle, and the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular adds yet another party-exclusive show to the mix. There are also attraction overlays, specialty food and merchandise, and character appearances you simply won't find on a normal Magic Kingdom day.
With only a few hours to fit everything in, it's no surprise that some of the smaller included perks get overlooked. Here's what to watch for.
1. Free Treats
Trick-or-treating is one of the party's signature activities, and it's completely complimentary for guests with party tickets. Trick-or-treat trails are set up throughout Magic Kingdom, and guests can visit multiple locations throughout the evening, adding to their haul as they move between rides, shows, and character meet-and-greets.
Disney also accommodates guests with food allergies. If you have allergy concerns, speak with a Disney Cast Member about the allergy-friendly trick-or-treating process — Disney has options available so guests with certain dietary restrictions can still take part in the fun.
2. Free Haunted Mansion Trick-or-Treat Bag
No need to bring a bag from home — party guests receive a complimentary trick-or-treat bag to use along the treat trails. And the 2026 version is worth holding onto after the party ends.
One side of the bag features Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse for that classic Disney Halloween look. Flip it over, though, and things get a little spookier: the other side showcases the Hitchhiking Ghosts from the Haunted Mansion, making it a fun bonus for fans of that beloved Magic Kingdom attraction.
Use it for candy during the party, then take it home as an easy souvenir — no extra merchandise purchase required.
3. The Party Map (and a Secret Hack)
It might be tempting to grab the physical Halloween-themed park guide, glance at it once, and move on — but this one deserves a second look. Disney offers a printed guide that helps guests navigate the party, with information on entertainment, attractions, treat locations, and other offerings available that night.
Because the guide is specific to that year's event, it can also serve as a simple piece of memorabilia. Tuck it away with other Disney vacation keepsakes, or use it in a scrapbook or memory book.
Want to make it even more personal? Bring a few small Halloween stickers and place one over each ride or attraction you experience during the party. By midnight, your map becomes a record of everything you accomplished that evening — a souvenir tied directly to your own night at Magic Kingdom.
A Few Things to Know Before You Go
Making the most of Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party starts before the first parade or handful of candy. Guests with valid party tickets can enter Magic Kingdom beginning at 4 p.m., even though the event doesn't officially start until 7 p.m. The party then runs until midnight.
Be sure to receive and wear your party wristband. Once regular Magic Kingdom operations end for day guests, Cast Members check for wristbands as the park transitions into the separately ticketed event — guests without valid party admission cannot remain for the party.
Arriving early gives you time to get settled before 7 p.m., so you're not using valuable party hours figuring out logistics. Between the entertainment, rides, characters, and mountains of candy, five hours can disappear quickly.
While there's certainly plenty to spend money on in the way of food and merchandise, these three complimentary perks give guests a few easy ways to bring a little piece of Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party home — no extra purchase needed.
